EastEnders has confirmed a shock pregnancy for Lauren Branning, as she continues to
struggle with her health.
When Lauren was caught up in the Peggy’s club crush over the summer, she suffered
injuries after being trampled by an escaping crowd of panicked clubbers. Although she has mostly recovered, she has continued to experience pain ever since.
In scenes that will air next week, Lauren finds herself in pain once again and she struggles to cope. Already annoyed, she shouts at Peter Beale about the childcare issues she’s having, before snapping at their son Louie.
Breaking down in tears, Lauren admits to Peter that she’s having a hard time and has booked herself an appointment with the GP.
But Lauren receives bad news at the doctor’s surgery, as the GP tells Lauren that she needs to have her pain medication reduced and can’t have another prescription.
Later on, Lauren opens up to Anna Knight about the symptoms she’s been experiencing, and Anna questions whether Lauren might be pregnant, remembering her own recent pregnancy symptoms.
Lauren later takes a pregnancy test in The Vic toilets and is shocked to discover that it’s positive.
Is Lauren ready to have another baby? And how will Peter react to the news?
