Between Daytime Emmy Awards ceremonies and various fan appearances, General Hospital star Steve Burton (Jason) has visited New York

City multiple times. But it wasn’t until a recent trip to The Big Apple with his girlfriend, native Long Islander Michelle Lundstrom, that the

actor got to really spend time in the city that never sleeps!

The couple, who currently reside together in Nashville, headed up North earlier this month to visit Lundstrom’s family on Long Island. So it was just a short ride into Manhattan for the pair! Burton put together some highlights from their trip in an Instagram Reel he titled “Unforgettable NYC Moments” set to — what else? — “Theme from New York, New York” from Frank Sinatra!

“You know, I love the East Coast. In my career, I would always come to New York for a day or two here and there,” the GH star wrote. “Blessed to win my first Emmy here at Radio City Music Hall. But it was always an elusive city for me. I never really got to experience it until Michelle. The Best.

While they were tourists in town, Burton and Lundstrom checked out some sights from high above the city, got sweet treats from street vendors, and ate at the Brooklyn Diner (which is actually in Times Square, not Brooklyn!). They took in the Broadway musical Chicago (starring Burton’s former Who’s The Boss? co-star Alyssa Milano), took a romantic pedicab ride around the city at night, and toured the sights from one of the city’s river cruises.

They dined on pizza and bagel breakfast sandwiches, celebrated Lundstrom’s birthday (earlier this month), and saw Back To The Future The Musical. Burton revisited Radio City Music Hall, and the couple shared a romantic pedicab tour through Central Park.

“Just to walk the streets of the city is something special,” Burton added. “Central Park. The coolest. Broadway. A must. The food. Nowhere better. If you haven’t spent time here in New York City. Put it on the bucket list.”
