CORONATION Street star Alan Halsall’s I’m A Celebrity appearance is at risk after he suffered another knee injury.
The actor, who has played Tyrone Dobbs on the ITV soap for 26 years, was due to go into the jungle in 2023, yet was then forced to undergo surgery instead.
He was snapped up for this series though and is due to fly out to Australia in the next couple of days.
But just weeks before heading Down Under, The Sun can exclusively reveal how Alan, 42, suffered another knee injury and was forced to pull out of an event.
A source told us: “Alan was meant to be taking part in a padel competition but pulled out at the last minute because his knee was playing up.
“It’s fine now but he just has to be really careful. He might not be able to take part in some of the trials, bosses are currently working out if he will be ruled out of any.

“It’s a huge blow for Alan because he was looking forward to throwing himself into it and now has to be a bit wary.”
The actor had reconstructive knee surgery at the start of November last year.
Alan’s op meant he had to take a short break from filming Corrie, although he was still seen on screen on the cobbles of Weatherfield because the soap is filmed two months ahead of the episodes being aired.
Immediately after the op to reconstruct his anterior cruciate ligament, he posted a picture of himself recovering in bed on Instagram.
It came with a message: “I have been told the surgery went really well.
“I know I have a long nine–12 months of rehabilitation ahead of me, but I’m sure with the support of family and friends I’ll get there.
Three Coronation Street legends sign new deals to keep them on the cobbles for another year – and fans will be thrilled
“Any rehab tips or advice?”
OFF SCREEN
Alan is best known for playing lovable Tyrone on the cobbles.
But away from the soap he has a very different job after setting up his own property firm.
As the hit ITV show enters into its 24th series, a brand new batch of famous faces look set to enter the Aussie jungle once again to face terrifying Bushtucker Trials and living amongst the critters in camp in order to come out on top and be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle. The Sun’s Jake Penkethman takes a look at the stars heading Down Under this year…
The actor is investing his money wisely after launching his secret second career away from the cobbles.
He has snapped up a modest red brick three-bed terrace for £100,000 and the pad is a dead ringer for the place at 9, Coronation Street where his character Tyrone Dobbs resides.
Alan bought the pad with a mortgage raised against his firm Rae Property Ltd – named in honour of his daughter Sienna-Rae.

An ITV source said: “Alan is planning more homes and if he snaps up a couple more in the road as they become available, he could have his very own Coronation Street.”
Yet this year, his home situation switched up following his break-up with Tisha Merry.
