Why Dax and Molly Shouldn’t Be Together: A Bold Opinion
It’s clear from recent episodes of General Hospital that the writers might be pushing a potential romance between Dax and Molly. And honestly, I’m not here for it. After watching that particular scene where Molly
drops her papers and we hear the tell-tale romantic music play in the background, it was hard to ignore the subtle suggestion that there could be something brewing between these two. But for me, this pairing is a
definite “no.”
First of all, Molly has been through so much already. The emotional turmoil with her fertility struggles, her deep relationship with TJ, and the complexities of her family dynamics—she deserves stability and someone who truly understands her journey. Dax, though he’s a compelling character in his own right, doesn’t seem like the right fit for Molly’s life. Their chemistry feels forced, and it’s hard to believe there could be a genuine connection between them.
It’s also important to consider the impact this potential romance could have on Molly’s relationship with TJ. They’ve already been through enough heartbreak, and introducing Dax into the equation feels like unnecessary drama. Molly and TJ have a solid history together, and while no relationship is perfect, theirs has weathered countless storms. Pairing her with Dax would be a step backward for her character development, not to mention the ripple effect it would have on TJ’s storyline.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is the obvious way the show is building this up. The music cue after Molly dropped her papers was a clear sign that the writers are setting the stage for something more. But does every small interaction between two characters have to lead to romance? It would be much more refreshing to see a platonic bond form instead of turning every moment into romantic tension.
In the end, I hope the show steers clear of this potential pairing and allows Molly to focus on her current relationships and personal growth. She’s a strong, intelligent character who deserves better than a forced romance that feels out of place. Let’s keep Dax and Molly in their respective lanes and avoid any unnecessary heartache in the future.
