Although The Bold & The Beautiful fans aren’t seeing much of Henry Samiri as Douglas right now on the soap, they might just see the talented child star during a commercial break! Samiri

is currently appearing in a new ad for the insurance company Progressive! (Too bad it’s not for Liberty Mutual so they could team him up with his B&B co-star, Tanner Novlan (Finn), for

another “Liberty Biberty” spot!)

“Had so much fun filming this Progressive spot!” he shared on Instagram. “Thank you [to my agent] Sydel Lisi for this fun opportunity — you’re the best! Thank you always to [casting director] Shane Liem and Silver Layne Studios. Let me know if you see it!”

In the ad, the Progressive staff informs a mother that she’s saved money by bundling her home and auto insurance. When she declares that’s a good thing given the current economy, her son — played by Samiri — innocently asks, “What’s the economy?” Naturally, none of the adults in the room are able to explain the concept, so the kid walks off deciding, “I’ll just look it up.”

Samiri stepped into the role of Thomas and Caroline’s son, Douglas Forrester, back in 2019, though the role was temporarily recast for a couple of months in 2022. During his time on B&B, the young actor has also moonlighted in episodes of American Horror Story and CSI: Vegas and starred as Jasper in the Freeform suspense series The Watchful Eye.

The last time Samiri appeared on B&B was back in July 2024 when he accompanied his father home to visit the family so Thomas could announce his engagement to Paris. However, they all soon returned to Europe. The couple planned to marry at the Forrester mansion, though, so if the wedding is still on, they should all be back eventually. Stay tuned!
