Spoilers for Days of Our Lives hint that, in the world of soaps, there’s always the possibility that a long-dead character may return.
Recently, the door was cracked open for Abigail DiMera’s return when Clyde Weston suggested that Chad DiMera’s wife might not be dead
after all.
Fans almost allowed themselves to believe it when “Abigail” reappeared.
However, the excitement was short-lived when it was revealed that this “Abby” was an imposter, collaborating with her brother, Dr. Mark Greene, to deceive Chad.
To add to the disappointment, a recent scene seemed to confirm that Abigail would never truly return to the show.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers – A Line That Shattered All Hope
In the episode that aired on Friday, October 4, Mark was seen comforting his sister, who was grappling with her role in the deception.
Both Mark and “Abigail” seem like well-intentioned people, but they are forced into this scheme because Clyde holds their mother hostage, and they are desperate to save her.
As Mark consoled his sister, he acknowledged Chad’s grief over Abigail’s death and expressed his understanding of her guilt.
He remarked that making Chad believe Abigail is back, “when she’s not and never will be,” is deeply unfair. This admission from Mark seemed to solidify what fans had feared: Abigail is truly gone.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Never Say Never in Soap Operas
Given the dramatic way Abigail died, many Days fans wonder how anyone could believe she might still be alive. After all, she was stabbed and died in Chad’s arms. How could anyone return from that?
But this is the world of soaps, where the impossible is always possible. While it appears that Days of Our Lives is committed to keeping Abigail buried, there’s always a chance—however small—that she could one day return.
For now, though, viewers must accept that Abigail is gone for good—or at least for now.
