Short films are currently where its at for soap stars who want side gigs to keep their creativity flowing.

The acclaimed short Insane stars General Hospital’s Eva LaRue and Days of Our Lives’ Eric Martsolf and Paul Telfer,

and is winning award after award.

On the heels of that comes Telfer and Martsolf’s co-star Stacey Haiduk who announced the premiere of her new short thriller.

Gas Up the Caddy With Blood
Haiduk, who plays Kristen on DAYS, posted a trailer for her new short film, Brand New Cadillac, on Instagram.

She set up much anticipation by writing, “Buckle up ladies and gentlemen it’s gonna be a bloody rhere’s the official trailer for our short film Brand New Cadillac!!!!

The film is co-directed by and co-stars Haiduk and her daughter, Riverdale’s Sophia Tatum.

The trailer looks intense as the two women, who bear more than a passing resemblance to Thelma & Louise, race through the desert in a sweet mid-70s Cadillac El Dorado convertible.

In the trailer, we get flashes of lots of blood and gore, and the women appear to be vampires who can somehow survive in the sunlight.

A Family Affair
According to Collider, the film is about “A vampire mother and her serial killer daughter” and was written by Haiduk’s husband, Bradford Tatum.

The excitement builds to its premiere at ScreamFest LA, and one wonders why it wasn’t made as a feature.

Nevertheless, telling a short story can be more difficult sometimes than a longer one, and this one is a labor of love from the family.

The fans were truly excited for the upcoming short, and many wished they could get to the premiere. One fan replied, “That is freaking bada$ and awesome.
