EASTENDERS fans have demanded to see a ‘missing’ storyline that apparently happened off-camera.

BBC viewers have tuned in to watch the latest action of the love triangle between Bobby Beale, Gina Knight, and Freddie Slater.

However, another plot point has seemingly gripped enthusiasts of the chronicles of Albert Square.

EastEnders has its own fictional newspaper called the Walford Gazette.

Recently, a reporter even approached Reiss (Jonny Freeman) who is trying to free his fiance Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) from prison.

The journalistic institution often sells copies of the publication at the market complete with headline news stands.

EastEnders fans have noticed some bold headlines about the apparent behind-the-scenes goings on in Walford.

Recent headlines have included, ‘Raccoon sold as puppy’ and ‘Tunstall caught with rent boy’.

Viewers have been somewhat distracted by the audacious headlines and have taken to social media to demand to see more of them actually shown on-screen.

Some think bosses even use rejected storylines suggested behind the scenes for the fictional paper as they wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Posting a snap of the most recent headline, one fan wrote: “I want a storyline about a journalist at the Walford Gazette or East London Gazette – particularly one involving a raccoon sold as a puppy.”

While a second fan claimed: “I’m beginning to think that #EastEnders uses rejected storylines for the Walford Gazette splash outside the MiniMart.”

They added: “The other week it was “Family kitten sold on dark web”, now a raccoon!”

Back in August one fan noticed the headline, ‘Boy sells family cat on the dark web’.

They posted: “Hey @bbceastenders I want to know more about this storyline headlined in The Walford Gazette! Who was it, Arthur or Mica?!”
