On Sister Wives, many members of the family have lived in trailers at one time or another. Janelle Brown famously lived in an RV on Coyote Pass while the family mulled over their decision to build on the land.

Dayton Brown also reportedly lived in a trailer on his parents’ land at some point. But was Robyn really okay with that choice?

If Robyn had her way, Dayton would probably never leave the nest. But he is an adult now and wants some independence from his mother.

“What about Dayton?” one Reddit user shared online recently. “Robyn said she doesn’t think people should live in trailers about Janelle living in an RV on Coyote Pass. Doesn’t Dayton live in an RV on her property? She thinks it’s OK for her son but not Janelle?”

They attached a screenshot from the series where Robyn says she doesn’t think anyone should live in a trailer.

Although some Redditors agreed with the OP, others had a different point of view.

“I feel like this isn’t controversial. Christine and Meri agreed they had no interest in ever living in a trailer. All of them have done it at some point.

I can imagine it reminds them of not-so-pleasant times,” another Redditor added. “Dayton was an adult and could choose where he lived. Her opinion about where she would prefer to live wouldn’t impact Dayton.”

“Also pretty sure he didn’t actually live there,” someone else added. “I think it was just for appearances because he wasn’t following the rules (which they were actually fine with since they also didn’t follow themselves).

But [Kody] wanted to continue bullying Garrison, Gabe, and Janelle for not following the same rules.”
