Coronation Street star Calum Lill has shared a sweet tribute to co-star Channique Sterling-Brown on
social media.
The actor, who plays evil Joel Deering on the ITV soap, took to his Instagram page with a dedication to
his fellow actor – who portrays on-screen fiancée Dee Dee Bailey – revealing how supportive she has been towards him since he joined the show.
“Appreciation post for Channique Sterling-Brown,” he captioned a series of photos with his co-star, as well as a fun clip of them playing a bar game.

“Thanks for always finding the time to take the mick out of me and for sharing your desserts as I always forget to grab one. You’re amazing. Keep smashing it Queen.”
The post comes ahead of dramatic scenes in September, with a recent trailer suggesting that the walls could be closing in on Joel.

In the clip, Dee Dee and DS Swain team up to try and take Joel down, notably after his fiancée recently discovered that Joel attacked and abused Lauren Bolton and is the father of the teen’s baby.
Earlier this month, Calum admitted it was “bittersweet” to be leaving the role of Joel, explaining: “As an actor, it’s getting more and more juicy, but as soon as this comes to a climax, I leave this incredible place filled with so many people I’ve come to know and love and been some of my best friends over the last 18 months.
“I’m very excited to get to the end of the story, but it will be very bittersweet because it’s the most incredible place to work.”
