General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Kristina Corinthos-Davis has her hands full with a load of drama
these days, but her portrayer, actress Kate Mansi can’t help but get a little sentimental about a character
she once played on Days of Our Lives (DOOL). Especially in light of everything that’s going on over at
that soap!
Most fans know that before Mansi played the onscreen daughter of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), entering her GH role in 2023, she played Days’ Abigail DiMera on and off from 2011 to 2020.
The Abby character was killed off in July 2022 when actress Marci Miller was in the part.
During a recent Women’s World interview, Mansi talked about how she hopes that Abigail and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), the super couple affectionately known as ‘Chabby’ to DOOL fans, can reunite someday.
The actress states that Chad and Abby had a “beautiful love story”. Mansi adds that she loved playing the character and it was “very hard” for her to let go of Abby.
In addition, Mansi admits that she and Billy Flynn had great chemistry which led to great stories, noting, “ … so there’s a lot more to play and a lot more to keep exploring.”
Is Mansi hinting at a Days of Our Lives return?
There’s still room and time for something of this nature to happen and many DOOL fans would love to see the streaming sudzer snag Mansi back from GH and bring her back “home” to Salem!
Currently, on Days, Chad is under the impression that Abby is back from the dead.
However, fans know that the mystery woman (AnnaLynne McCord) parading around as his wife is in cahoots with Dr. Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson), for whatever reason.
As Mark tampered with the blonde’s DNA test at the hospital, he was able to make it look like she was genetically linked to Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), even though she’s not.
This woman is not Abigail DiMera, but it may take time for the truth to come out.
Plus, just because the mystery woman isn’t Abby, doesn’t mean that Abigail isn’t alive despite being stabbed multiple times by Clyde Weston (James Read) and dying in Chad’s arms. This is the land of soaps, right?
General Hospital spoilers hint that while Kristina (and Kate) is quite settled in Port Charles, this doesn’t mean that something couldn’t happen where the character ended up exiting … or the role was suddenly recast!
