Coronation Street serves up another emotional week, as confirmed in my brand new video spoilers, with
one cobbles resident preparing for the end while another makes an unexpected breakthrough.
Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) knows that his time is running out and next week he spends the afternoon
with newfound brother Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who wants to make the most of what time they’ve got left together.
Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), meanwhile, demonstrates where her loyalties really lie as she takes matters into her own hands at The Institute, though she’s set to get the shock of her life along the way.
Elsewhere, Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) freedom is at stake as Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) makes it her mission to take down the abuser, with some assistance from DS Swain (Vicky Myers).
Will a potential breakthrough prove to be what Dee-Dee needs to get Joel put behind bars for his crimes?
September gets off to quite a start on the cobbles and, if you’re excited to find out what’s to come then you needn’t wait until Monday as I’ve got three new preview clips from next week’s action to tide you over.
Monday September 2
Dee-Dee pays DS Swain a visit at the station after Joel delivers another sinister threat to Lauren. Swain confirms that there is nothing more she can do right now, claiming her ‘hands are tied’.
The detective, however, reveals that Joel left his previous firm – Walcotts – abruptly, which leaves Dee-Dee with food for thought. Could this lead prove to be what she needs to take Joel down once and for all?
Wednesday September 4
Leanne tells Rowan that Amy isn’t backing down in her attempt to take legal action against the Institute.
She claims that they should send her another message, which delights Rowan but once the cult leader is out of sight, Leanne uses his laptop to delete all information relating to Amy. The question is: what else will she uncover while doing so?
Friday September 6
Kit stops by the flat to see Paul, with the two spending the afternoon together. Paul has a coughing fit and he asks Kit to keep it to himself.
Afterwards, Paul confirms that he doesn’t have long left and, as Kit fights tears, he resolves to spend as much time with his brother as he can.
