Tuesday August 27, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Alan and Traci discuss their future, Chelsea

informs Billy that she warned Adam, and Faith asks Nick to take care of Sharon.

Monday’s recap: Faith and Lucy were rushed to the hospital after an accident, while Summer and Kyle

finally reached an agreement.

Billy drinks alone at the GCAC, reflecting on Chelsea’s confession that she slept with Adam.

Adam gazes out the window of his penthouse, recalling when he assured Sally that he hadn’t slept with Chelsea.

As memories of his time with Chelsea cross his mind, a pained expression spreads across Adam’s face.

Chelsea sends a text, letting him know she confessed the truth to Billy.

Just as Adam is about to leave, Sally stops him. He claims he forgot his tablet at the office and needs to go retrieve it.

She’s surprised that it can’t wait until morning.

Adam insists he just feels guilty for taking so much time off work and promises to return soon.

As he opens the door, a drunken Billy appears, pushing his way in and declaring they need to talk.

Adam tries to get rid of him but Billy says that Chelsea was brave enough to be honest with him.

Adam orders Billy to go home and sleep this off but Sally wants him to stay. The Newman says he’s drunk and doesn’t know what he’s saying.

CBS

Billy accuses him of taking advantage of Chelsea for his own gratification.

CBS

Billy screams that Chelsea told him everything and he can tell he told Sally nothing.

Adam orders him out. Billy thinks he should be honest with Sally. As he exits, he says he’s sorry she found out this way.

CBS

Once he’s gone, Sally screams and Adam tries to talk his way out of it, claiming that Billy had an agenda.

She yells at him to tell her the truth or she is walking out and never coming back.

CBS

With some more prodding, he admits that what Billy said is true and he’s sorry.

CBS

He explains what happened that night in Baltimore. They were overwhelmed and drank too much.

She makes him say that he slept with Chelsea. He insists it meant nothing. They were just caught up and desperate.

Sally points out he’s lied to her face every day since. He says he lied because he was afraid to lose her.

“You are a coward,” she says, going upstairs.

Billy goes into Crimson Lights to get coffee and runs into Chelsea.

CBS

He admits he confronted Adam. She had a feeling that would happen.

He says no one had their skulls cracked open. “That’s good,” she says.

Billy says Adam wasn’t surprised to see him. She admits she texted to warn him.

CBS

She claims she only did that to maintain their civil relationship. He admits that Sally knows the truth now and was clearly being lied to.

Chelsea wishes she’d handled this differently.

He says she’s nothing like Adam. he doesn’t have an instinct to do the right thing and Sally likely won’t forgive him.

Chelsea asks if Billy can forgive her. He doesn’t know.

CBS

Traci takes Alan to the jazz lounge. It reminds him of Paris. They get a seat.

CBS

She worries he will be board in Genoa City but he loves it and is thinking of finding his own place.

CBS

Traci just hopes that’s what he really wants. She doesn’t want him to feel pressured by her family.

Alan hopes he wasn’t being presumptuous. She says he’s not. She just doesn’t want him to give up everything for her.

He’s amazed that she doesn’t believe how much he cares about her and that he wants to live where she is.

CBS

She thinks they need to talk logistics. He’s happy to live there or New York.

Traci explains she has friends and her editor in New York. Things are frenetic but she thinks their relationship might work better there.

When she’s there, she’s not just an Abbott. She’s her own person with a compete identity.

CBS

What they have is new and fragile and she worries that her bad habits there will get in the way.

He says nothing can get in the way of what they have.

She explains that she loves her family, but she may have neglected her own needs in being their protector.

Alan loves that about her and just wants to make her happy. Laughing, she admits it’s hard for her to believe this is happening.

CBS

He’s so grateful that they got together. She’s not sure how she can be so comfortable with him.

After joking he’s just a genius, he tells her he cares about her and wants to give her the world.

She wants to do that for him too. They kiss.

Traci asks what he would do there. He says he gets plenty of lecture opportunities and might write a book…maybe about his brother.

CBS

It would give him the chance to reflect on what happened an exorcise his demons.

Getting up, he asks her to dance.

CBS

As they dance, he tells her how much she’s looking forward to getting his own place, but reminds her he has a room upstairs.

They head up.

CBS

Sharon and Nick hold Faith’s hand in the hospital and beg her to wake up.

CBS

“Why does this keep happening to us?” tearful Sharon asks Nick.

He’s sure she wasn’t drinking this time. Sharon says she has to be okay and he promises she will be.

Lucy wakes up with her parents around her. They tell her she was in an accident with Faith.

CBS

Lucy calls out to Faith, who wakes up, to her parents’ relief.

Nick pulls back the curtain and sobbing Lucy tells Faith how sorry she is. She blames herself and begs Faith to tell her she’s okay.

Gasping, Faith says she’s alright but doesn’t want to talk right now.

Nick and Daniel leave to find a doctor and Sharon draws the curtain. Faith apologizes to her mom, who wants to know what happened.

Her daughter explains she went to help Lucy, who was drinking and regretting it.

She was terrified of getting in trouble and agreed to drive her home.

CBS

Heather asks her daughter what she meant when she said this was her fault.

CBS

Lucy explains she was feeling down and got some vodka. She didn’t drink much but texted Faith for help.

As she started driving her home, she started throwing up in the car. Faith tried grabbing a towel and lost control of the car.

Faith worries that this must be bringing up more bad memories for her mom. This must be her worst nightmare.

CBS

Sharon insists she will be fine and just needs to get her the treatment she needs. They need to take every precaution.

Crying, Faith says she just wants to go home.

Daniel and Nick find the doctor who explains that the girls will be okay. Lucy had alcohol in her system but not Faith.

CBS

Nick returns and explains the doctor wants her to stay overnight. Her injuries aren’t severe so it should just be one night.

CBS

Faith feels so stupid. Nick assures her it was just an accident. As Sharon looks at her daughter, she imagines Cassie.

They notice she seems off. “I’m going to step out for a moment,” she says, walking out.

Faith asks her dad to look after her mom.

She’s sure this is bringing out more awful memories for her.

Daniel tells Heather and Lucy she needs to stay overnight. She guesses he knows about the drinking and she’s in trouble.

As Sharon stumbles down the hall, Cameron appears and tells her it’s all so similar. It all leads back to Cassie.
