CORONATION Street star Alan Halsall has issued a major update in his recovery process after
undergoing surgery.
The actor, who plays the role of Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap opera, underwent a knee ligament
operation known as ACL surgery towards the end of last year.

It forced the star to take a break from his acting duties in order to recover as well as reportedly costing him a spot on last year’s I’m A Celeb line-up.
Now, in a new interview, Alan admitted that he still has some way to go in the recovery process.
He gave an update live on This Morning about the reconstructive surgery as he spoke about the “long road” ahead of him.
Alan said to show hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle: “I’ve had a couple of operations on my knee.

“Listen, they never lengthened my legs like I asked them to. But I’m doing good.”
Alan underwent the operation in November of last year and said at the time that he expected it to take between “9 and 12 months” for recovery.
In a positive update, Alan revealed that his surgery “all went well” just in time for his soap character Tyrone to gear up for a big new storyline.
On screens, fans are set to be left shook when Tyrone crosses paths with his ex-mistress, Alina Pop, once again.

Speaking about the storyline, Alina actress Ruxandra Porojnicu, 31, told the press: “Alina is back in Weatherfield because she’s a witness in a trial against traffickers and she feels like she should avoid Tyrone and Fiz!
“I think she is curious to see Tyrone and speak with him again because she had feelings for him and he was a very important person in her life at one point.
“But I would say if it wasn’t for the court case, she would have chosen to not come back at this time.”

Robert’s ex Katie Sugden almost exposed the affair – but fell to her death before she had the chance.
