Coronation Street star Jane Danson has celebrated her husband Robert Beck’s birthday by sharing a

sweet post on social media.

The star, who plays Leanne Battersby on the ITV soap, wed Beck in 2005 after they began dating in

2005, with the pair appearing on Corrie together in 2008 and 2009 as he appeared as Jimmy Dockerson.

Beck, whose other roles include Fergus Collins on Hollyoaks, Terry Appleyard in Waterloo Road and more recently Damon Harris on Emmerdale, is today (August 1) celebrating his 56th birthday, with Danson writing a post on Instagram.

“Happy birthday my ❤️ @robertbeck529 56 years young ! Love you forever 🥰” she wrote in the caption, accompanying a pair of photos which showed Beck in his youth in addition to a more recent picture.

Georgia Taylor, who plays Danson’s on-screen stepsister Toyah on Corrie, commented on the post, writing: “Happy birthday Rob!! 🥳😘”, whilst Beck’s former Hollyoaks co-star Jamie Lomas commented: “Happy birthday @robertbeck529”

Several fans and followers took to the comment section to wish Beck a happy birthday, with one writing: “Happy Birthday Rob. You do not look your 56 years, @realjanedanson obviously looks after you well 😉🥳”

“He’s still an absolute fox. I remember him in Brookside. Had a crush on him. Happy birthday Robert♥️♥️” added a second follower, with a third writing: “He was such a good baddie in Emmerdale 👏👏👏”

Danson, who has also appeared on The Bill, spoke about her home life with Beck back in 2021, saying: “The good thing about it is that we both get soaps, and we both understand the schedule. Sometimes things change, sometimes he might be in early and sometimes he might be in late.

“So we just kind of got our diaries out together and kind of planned our week. My mum was always on hand to help out with the boys, which was amazing. So we’ve got a lot of support, which is great.”
