The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that

Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) has become a major suspect

now that Tom Starr (Clint Howard) has been targeted.

Could Li be the one who donned black gloves and poisoned Tom’s sports drink?

It’s weird that Li even wanted to get food from Il Giardino considering Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) works there.

Li claimed she was just there for takeout and said she didn’t know about the live music, but it seemed more like she had an agenda.

Of course, that brings us to an important question: Why would Li want to get rid of Tom?

When it comes to her sister’s past, there’s a good chance Li knows far more than Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) thinks!

B&B made a huge deal about Li being the one to administer the paternity test, but there have been hints that the outcome wasn’t legit.

What if Li herself rigged it because she didn’t want the truth about Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) father to come out?

We know that Poppy lived with Li, Jack Finnegan (Ted King) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) around the time Luna was conceived.

It seems likely Poppy was having an affair with Jack, so perhaps Li found out and ultimately deduced that Jack must be Luna’s bio dad.

If that’s the case, Li’s treatment of Poppy and Luna makes total sense.

Li might’ve even run a secret paternity test at some point in the years that followed to confirm her suspicions.

As a reminder, Li already had to contend with the shame of Jack’s affair with Sheila coming to light – and she probably thinks she looked like a fool for adopting Finn without realizing he was Jack’s biological child.

To avoid bringing further shame on her family, maybe Li took drastic action to silence Tom.

If Li knew about Poppy and Tom’s history – possibly through Tom’s letters – she might’ve been afraid he’d demand another paternity test and stir up way too many questions.

It’s even possible that Li jumped to the wrong conclusion about which Finnegan man Poppy slept with back then.

If Li suspects Finn is Luna’s father, that’d give her even more of a motive to bury all this for good.
