Breaking News! It will
shock you! | The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers
The ground is shifting beneath our feet with the sheer massiveness of the storyline that The Young and
the Restless MVP Joshua Morrow has in mind. Not only does it involve his character, Nick Newman, bu
t also a certain A-lister from The Bold and the Beautiful. Recently, Morrow celebrated his 30th anniversary as Nicholas Newman, and during an exclusive interview, he dropped a bombshell that has fans buzzing.
When asked what plot twist he still wished would come his way, considering his character has been everything from a playboy to a businessman, an amnesiac to a prison inmate, Morrow had a revelation. “I get asked this a lot and I never have a great answer,” he admitted. “But now I have it.” Inspired by the occasional crossover between The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, featuring characters like Sheila Carter and Deacon Sharpe, Morrow proposed a sensational idea: a cross-show love triangle.
Morrow revealed his dream storyline involves a messy and dramatic love triangle that connects both shows. And he has a leading lady in mind: Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who plays Steffy Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. “She’s a very beautiful woman and obviously very, very talented. What man wouldn’t want to work with her?” he said, suggesting an inter-soap romance that could captivate fans of both shows.
On The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy’s life is spiraling toward disaster. Her monster-in-law Sheila is back, and her husband, Finn, can’t seem to keep his distance from her. Meanwhile, her stepsister, Hope Logan, is caught between her love for Steffy’s husband and her brother. Steffy is on the brink of becoming suddenly single.
Meanwhile, on The Young and the Restless, Nick Newman is playing referee for his quarrelsome family while we wait to see if he gravitates back toward his first wife, Sharon, or his second wife, Phyllis. But what if the show throws a real curveball and has him hook up with Lily Winters instead? Fresh off their night together, Nick has to take off on a business trip to the West Coast—bad timing after a good time, right?
On the West Coast, Nick and Steffy cross paths, and sparks fly. How could they not? Nick is the antithesis of Finn—strong-minded and sensible enough to know that you don’t send Hallmark cards to homicidal relatives; you send them restraining orders. Nick would be intrigued by Steffy, who has all of Phyllis’ fire and Sharon’s resilience. One thing leads to another, and Nick and Steffy spend a magical evening together.
Afterwards, they go their separate ways. They might as well live on different continents—they have kids to worry about and businesses to run. Their only real choice is to go back to their Plan A’s. Nick will continue his budding romance with Lily, and Steffy will try again to knock some sense into Finn. But could they really forget one another so easily? Or would this be the beginning of the exact storyline Morrow has in mind, only with a full-blown quadrangle instead of a triangle?
Tune in to find out if Nick and Steffy’s paths cross again and what drama ensues from this unexpected connection. This storyline promises to be one of the most thrilling crossovers in daytime TV history. Are you ready for the ride?
