‘You Won’t See Jenny For A While’ Reveals Sally Ann Matthews

Sally Ann Matthews recently addressed her exit rumours. While, the soap has reassured everybody about her continued presence, it looks like there is some shakeup there. The actress is known for playing Jenny Connor, first appeared in 1986 as Rita Fairclough’s foster daughter and exited in 1993. But she returned in 2015 and dived into a dramatic relationship with Kevin Webster.

Since then, she has been a regular on the cobbles. But, her recent Instagram Live hinted at a possible departure. When asked about her holiday plans, she mentioned they would go off on the boat on Saturday. She added that she planned to relax on the boat and do nothing.

Then, head back to Cyprus, continue doing nothing, and possibly look for a job eventually. Her comments piqued viewers’ interest, leading some to ask if she had left. She responded, “Have you left the Street…hang on…next question…it’s all slowed down [the questions] all of a sudden!”

She concluded by saying she should probably sign off. Reflecting on another question, Matthews mentioned that viewers hadn’t seen much of Jenny lately and wouldn’t be seeing her for quite a long time. She added, “No you’re not going to see Jenny for quite a long while.”

She concluded by saying it might be the best time to wrap up. We know that the character has been a key part of the show. It all started when Jenny lost her husband, Johnny. But when step-daughter Carla Connor found out, she made them repay the money. Let us see if there’s an exit for her next or a solid plot!
