Coronation Street‘s Calum Lill has confirmed his engagement to girlfriend Roberta Mcclarron.
Calum, who plays villainous Joel Deering on the soap, shared his exciting real-life news on social media
with two photos – one more serious picture of him and Roberta showing off her engagement ring and
smiling, and a second photo of the couple where he’s wearing a swimming costume belonging to his Corrie co-star Dolly-Rose Campbell.
“About time I made an honest woman of her,” Calum wrote in his Instagram post.
“Celebrated with drinks in the hot tub but Roberta thought it would be funny to remove my swimming shorts from the suitcase. Thanks @dolly_rose_campbell for lending me your spare cossie. I think I rocked it tbf.”

The comments were filled with congratulations for the happy couple, including Calum’s Coronation Street co-star Vinta Morgan, who commented: “Nothing better… congratulations.”

Jodie Prenger added: “Awwww congrats kidda! How fabulous xxx”.
Lucy Fallon, Channique Sterling-Brown, Emrhys Cooper, Elle Mulvaney and Vicky Myers were also among the Corrie stars sharing their congratulations with Calum and Roberta.

After it was revealed that Calum’s character Joel was responsible for Lauren Bolton’s disappearance and leaving her for dead, he shared an adorable video of his grandma’s horrified reaction.
Before that, he’d confirmed that none of his family had known about the major storyline twist.
“I was having Sunday dinner with my family a couple of weeks ago, and they were all talking about their own theories of who they think it is,” Calum said when Joel’s double life was exposed to viewers.
