On the Thursday, April 2 episode of Days of our Lives, EJ introduced Theo to his no longer really most sincerely dead mother, Lexie. Theo wanted to know why EJ did this. So, frankly, do we. What is in this for EJ?
Key Takeaways:
- EJ brought Lexie back from the dead
- EJ reunited Lexie with Theo
- Why had EJ done all this?

Sister Act
EJ has spent months and untold millions working with Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) to, presumably, dig up Lexie (Nikki Campbell), put her first in a shiny green tube, then a hospital bed, and promised Lexie’s son, Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews), that soon he’ll be able to have his late mother back. So far, the only use EJ has gotten out of his science project is to use the news to coerce Paulina (Jackée Harry).
Now, he told Theo that he has to lie to Abe (James Reynolds) about Lexie, as well. Is this so EJ can gain some kind of upper hand in Stefano’s (Joseph Mascolo) will? He has been talking a lot lately about his father’s will. But we’re not sure how that’s supposed to work. And if this is all just to get Theo out of DiMera and Johnny (Carson Boatman) in, then… well, doesn’t it feel like EJ started his little project long before Theo stepped into the top job?
Any Dream Will Do
If EJ intends to make money from this — and, we agree, being able to bring people back from the dead would be QUITE the cash cow — then why bring back Lexie in particular? He could have used any corpse that just happened to be lying around. He seems particularly focused on bringing back his half-sister, though. EJ doesn’t do random things for no reason. But if we’re going to root for him… or root against him… or even understand what is going on, it would be nice if he let the rest of us in on his plan. Not the rest of Salem. Just the rest of us….
