Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Sam’s shock collapse
Coronation Street‘s Ryan Thomas has shared a health diagnosis, revealing that he has ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). The star also opened up about the “stressful” time that led him to get an assessment while chatting to brothers Adam and Scott.
The Jason Grimshaw actor explained on the At Home with the Thomas Bro’s podcast that he hadn’t spoken publicly about the condition before as he felt “quite embarrassed”.
“It felt like I had a condition and growing up, as kids, ADHD, I don’t feel like, was ever a thing – or it was loosely spoke about,” he said, explaining that partner Lucy Mecklenburgh had noted that he was doing things such as losing his phone, being inattentive during conversations and misplacing items.

Ryan revealed he was assessed and ultimately diagnosed with ADHD, before reflecting on his current experience of being on medication.
“Friends that are on the medication have said it changes your life instantly, like the limitless pill,” he said. “And it’s been quite disheartening for me because I’m on the medication every day – I’ve been on it for the last three, four weeks – and I still feel overwhelmed. I still misplace things.
“There is a part of me that I recognise – that I can sit down and write something on a piece of paper, which is very rare that that happens with me,” he added, before confirming he has “upped the dosage now”.
