While some of the hidden secrets look set to be exposed in Coronation Street next week, others are trying desperately to keep theirs buried – but it could have disastrous consequences.
Starting with poor Sam Blakeman and the stress of being silenced by groomer Megan Walsh, alongside his school work, is becoming too much for the teen. In the cafe, Nina Lucas tells Eva Price that she’s worried about Sam, he’s barely touched his food and appears very shaky.

As Eva heads over, Megan arrives. Clearly terrified, Sam pushes past them and dashes out. But Eva goes after him but as she calls out, Sam collapses unconscious on the pavement. Quick to act, Megan pulls out her phone to call an ambulance.
Later, Leanne Battersby visits Sam and gently suggests that his exams weren’t the only reason he resorted to taking drugs and she needs him to explain what’s really going on. As Sam steals himself to tell all, Eva appears in the doorway.

But it seems Sam won’t stay silent for long as the spoilers for next week’s episodes of the ITV soap confirm that as the doors close in on Megan, Sam’s family rally round him.
As the week continues, Megan’s past comes back to haunt her as a shock discovery rocks the Driscolls. And by the end of the week, Daniel wants answers from Megan about the future of their relationship.
Elsewhere on the cobbles, DS Lisa Swain quizzes DC Kit Green about the recent attack on Mal Roper. Kit gives nothing away but when Lisa reveals a witness has come forward, he’s forced to mask his unease, with viewers aware that Kit was the one who confronted Mal after his behaviour towards his mother, Bernie Winter.
Taking matters into his own hands, Kit ambushes the witness outside the station, but Barry recognises him immediately as the man who attacked Mal. Later, Lisa reveals that Mal has regained consciousness. Kit visits Mal in hospital and questions him about the attack.

Also next week, when Adam Barlow reveals that Jenna Mackie is ready to sign and it’s a huge coup to have poached one of Fabians’ biggest clients, Alya Nazir forces a smile. Later, when an upbeat Adam tells Alya that he’s got a meeting with Jenna and he intends to prove to her that she’s made the right choice, Alya buries her misgivings.
Soon, Adam and Alya meet up with Rich from Fabians and arrive at a deal. But having checked his phone, an ashen-faced Adam tells Alya that someone has hacked into their internal email. As Adam discusses the data breach with Alya, an irate Ronnie Bailey lambasts them over a leaked email about Debbie and if matters couldn’t get any worse, Rich tells Alya that Adam’s reputation is already in tatters.

Later, Sarah Platt takes Todd for lunch in a bid to cheer him up. But when Todd spots Theo at a nearby table with a good looking bloke his face falls. Trying to help, Glenda Shuttleworth urges Todd to forget about Theo and get back on the dating scene.
Taking her advice on board, Todd tells Theo he was right, they both need to move on but later, in the Rovers, Theo makes a point of chatting up Sean Tully. However, when Todd reveals that Glenda’s fixed him up with a date, how will Theo react?

Pushing on, Todd meets up with his blind date, whilst Theo joins Gary Windass for his birthday celebrations, trying to mask his fury. Theo laughs at Gary’s jokes, determined Todd should think he’s having the time of his life.
As the week draws to a close, Theo tells Todd he’s thinking of accepting a job in Belfast as it’ll be best for both of them to have a clean break. But while the news leaves Todd gutted, Theo smiles to himself. And later, Theo finds James Bailey giving Todd a pre-marathon pep talk and while Todd takes a call, Theo slips some drugs into Todd’s drink. What is he up to?
