Though suspicion initially fell on teens Dylan Wilson and Brody Michaelis, it was eventually revealed that Tyrone’s friend and garage colleague Carl Webster was responsible—and hiding a web of criminal activity.

Carl was later seen torching the getaway vehicle, and it emerged he had been running a stolen car scheme, using Dylan and Brody as pawns in his operation. The fallout continues to affect Tyrone and promises to carry over into 2026.

Sue Devaney Staying as Debbie Webster

In more good news for fans, actress Sue Devaney, who plays Debbie Webster, has also confirmed she’s staying on the show “for the next few years.” Debbie’s journey has captivated viewers since her recent dementia diagnosis, and Corrie bosses are making it clear her storyline is far from over.

Writer Jonathan Harvey reassured fans on Instagram that Debbie will remain central to life on the cobbles, while producer Kate Brooks told Digital Spy that the character’s dementia arc is only in its early stages.

“We’re not galloping our way through the story at all,” Brooks said. “Debbie is brilliant, so full of life and joy. There are so many stories happening around her that are not dependent on her diagnosis.”

Brooks emphasized that while dementia will impact Debbie’s life, it won’t define her character. “She’s not just a person who has dementia—her stories are not defined by it either, for a really long time.”
