We knew this day was coming, but it looks like Billy Flynn’s exit from Days of Our Lives is finally here. The show’s announced that Chad will be leaving Salem on Tuesday, February 17th. And while they made clear that this past week wasn’t the end for Flynn, this time, it definitely is. On top of that, when Chad leaves for Arizona, he’s taking Thomas and Charlotte with him.

And Days of Our Lives has released that the 17th will also be the final airdate for their portrayers, Cary Christopher and Autumn Gendron! Christopher isn’t a surprise, as we knew the young actor had scored a series role and was saying goodbye to Salem. We just didn’t know when that would be. But we weren’t expecting Gendron to go, too!

This isn’t forever for Chad, though, as Young & Restless’ Conner Floyd will be bringing him home in April. It does seem a shame that Chad won’t be around for EJ’s dark turn, but those final memorial scenes between the two brothers were a sweet way to leave things for now.

Though, unless the green tube revival gets dragged out for another two months, this might be the clearest sign yet that Abigail is not the one EJ’s bringing back, as some folks have been pondering! Visit Advertiser website

But with Christopher and Gendron both leaving, we have to wonder if Floyd’s Chad will be coming back alone. That would seem… odd after Chad went through the big custody fight with Jack and Jennifer, so our guess would be that both Thomas and Charlotte will be recast. The show could buy more time by saying that Chad’s returning after dropping them off for one of the custody visits with their grandparents, but we’ll have to wait and see.

And if they are recast, will Thomas and Charlotte be SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging) up, or remain the same age? With Alice Halsey also leaving as Brady and Kristen’s precocious daughter Rachel, this could be the sudser’s next chance to introduce a whole new crop of teens!
