Dropped From Peacock Soap
In early January, news broke that four cast members were cut from the beloved Peacock soap after the holiday break. DAYS has dropped Carson Boatman (Johnny), Ashley Puzemis (Holly), Raven Bowens (Chanel), and Leo Howard (Tate). (Here’s 5 fast facts about Boatman).
Dropping four of its youngest stars is an interesting move, considering most soaps have shifted toward Gen Z and millennials. At the time, an insider told The Daily Mail, “They were totally blindsided, especially Carson, who was in the middle of renegotiating a new contract.”
Boatman joined the cast in 2021 as Johnny DiMera. The actor has taken this shocking news well. He told the Daily Mail that he was “incredibly grateful for the past five years.” Boatman teased that he’s “genuinely so excited to see what the future holds for me, as well as the show.”

Boatman credited the production and video teams for their hard work on the  music video. The young actor co-wrote the song. Boatman already got support from his fellow co-stars and Day Players bandmates. Brandon Barash (Stefan), Eric Martsolf (Brady), and DAYS alum Scott Reeves sounded off in the comments section.
