EastEnders is lining up a big change for Vicki and her brother Mark Fowler Jr soon, as the reality surrounding the reason for his return to Walford starts to sink in for her.
Vicki thought that her sibling had come back to the East End to support her during her ordeal in court, but the truth is he’s working for a drug-dealing gang who have tasked him with finding out who is secretly working for the police as an informant.

That informant is none other than Mark’s friend Ravi, who is currently struggling with his mental health, while Mark is facing increasing pressure to give the gang what they want.
In scenes set to air in the coming days, Mark tells his family about the tough spot that he’s in, and that the gang could come after his family.
A stressed Vicki soon realises Mark isn’t the man she thought he was and she confronts him about his behaviour. Could seeing her brother in a new light do permanent damage to their relationship?

Speaking about Mark’s mindset when it comes to Vicki, actor Stephen Aaron-Sipple said: “Mark is embarrassed that Vicki knows about his criminality, but he’s also angry that she’s got involved.”

“He feels like he is his own man, and Vicki is not his mum, so she needs to be OK with however he chooses to live his life.
“Understandably, she’s not happy with that, but he does also recognise that she does not operate in the world that he does, so he’s always protective of his older sister.”
He also teased that “we’ve got lots of drama on the horizon for Mark”, but while there will be “high stakes” and “tricky situations”, his character will remain “mischievous”.
