Two new Coronation Street murder plot clues have been teased as anticipation builds over who the big victim will be next month. The ITV soap is set to air a new storyline that will see one of five potential victims killed off on the day of Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s wedding.
Among those in the line of fire alongside Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton and Maggie Driscoll are Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster – and soaps expert Sharon Marshall has dropped some big hints that could point to the latter pair.

Appearing on yesterday’s This Morning, Sharon teased some inside info, recalling one conversation she had with David Platt actor Jack P Shepherd that could suggest that Jodie is the victim.
“He did point out the Platts have got form for killing people and burying them in the granny annex,” she quipped. “He was dressed all in black and he said, ‘The stains wouldn’t show on there!'”
Sharon also added weight to theories around Carl, whose actor Jonathan Howard was seen in black eye makeup when Sharon spoke to him live from the Corrie set last week.

“Carl is another one. I know he spoke in past tense when we were up there, and there is going to be a big feud between Theo and Carl,” she shared.

“And he was supposed to have… he wiped it off and left the black eye, but his face was completely covered in blood. And it was when they were filming all the scenes. So could it be that Theo takes another victim?”
Sharon then joked: “Or could they all be lying to me, because they are trained actors!”
In the previous interview, Jonathan said that the makeup team had covered him in blood as Carl is “going to get into some trouble”, adding: “[He’s in] a few fights, yeah. Things are going to get pretty bad for Carl.”
