CORONATION Street fans have come up with a theory that an iconic show star is set to make a return to the soap for Carla and Lisa’s wedding.
Actress Kym Marsh, 49, shocked fans when she suddenly quit playing Michelle Connor almost seven years ago – but now eagle-eyed fans think they have spotted a MAJOR clue that she is reprising the role.

Former popstar star Kym decided leave Corrie in 2019 after 13 years on the soap.
During that time the singer-turned-actress tackled huge storylines like enduring a heartbreaking stillbirth and also being shot by evil Phelan.
But now, fans think Kym is set to make her comeback when her character Michelle’s former sister-in-law Carla Connor marries Lisa Swain.
Viewers have come up with a theory that Michelle will make a surprise return as they noticed that actress Kym had taken the day off from her touring theatre show on the same day that they filmed Carla’s wedding.

The actress is currently starring alongside Lisa Faulkner for the stage adaptation of 1990s thriller Single White Female.
But she posted this week a message to fans to say she was “off sick”.
Taking this as a hint that she had called in sick so she could return to Corrie to film Carla’s wedding, a fan tweeted: “DOES THIS MEAN WHAT I THINK IT MEANS?
“Tell me i’m not being delusional!!!!! MICHELLE AT SWARLA’S WEDDING???? a bit of a coincidence to be off sick on that day specifically!!!”
Responding to this, another fan wrote: “This is the first time I’ve seen something that’s made me genuinely pause and think there’s a chance.”
Another echoed this and wrote: “This is serious! There is a chance!”

Since leaving Coronation Street seven years ago, Kym has become hot property.
She played canteen worker Nicky Walters in BBC school drama Waterloo Road, and she also presented the BBC’s Morning Live on breakfast TV.
Last year, Kym won high acclaim for her role in Channel 5’s The Imposter.
