This Morning presenter and Queen of Soaps Sharon Marshall has shared an update on the highly-anticipated Coronation Street Swarla wedding after it was filmed today. The ITV magazine show got to attend Lisa Swain and Carla Connor’s wedding as the cameras rolled, and it looks like it’s going to be an emotional time.
Sharon upload a photo from the set with some crew members to her Instagram, and wrote: “A proper lovely day at Corrie. Thank you for inviting us. @coronationstreet.
“We’ll bring you the full wedding video at the end of April. But the girls looked SO beautiful. And you’ll laugh and cry at a gorgeous script. A joyous day.”
On her Instagram Story, Marshall simply posted the word “stunning” with two rainbow emojis.
On the actual This Morning show today, Marshall further explained that the episode will be “a first in soap history, two girls getting married without any calamities on the way”.

But while we know that the marriage will go off without a hitch, the same day — 23 April — will be fatal for one character.
Five possible death victims were teased in the recent flashforward, and the soap has been dropping hints and red herrings ever since.
During today’s set visit, actor Jonathan Howard, who plays potential death victim Carl Webster, was interviewed — while sporting black eye and injury make-up that he didn’t manage to wipe off in time.

He revealed that Carl gets in “a few fights”, which isn’t surprising given how many people he’s got on the wrong side of recently.
But could the injuries be part of his death scenes?
