Everything has been leading up to the moment that Maxie saw Nathan alive and in person, and she made her choice between him and Spinelli during the February 23, 2026 episode of General Hospital.
Nathan vs. Spinelli
Laura (Genie Francis) just thanked Luke (the late Anthony Geary) for being the love of a lifetime, and now itâs Maxieâs (Kirsten Storms) turn. After returning home to Port Charles, it didnât take long for her to come face-to-face with her husband who she thought was dead. She remembered the moment he died and grieving his death.
After assuring Nathan she will always love him, she finally came home to find a lonely Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) on the couch. She admitted she saw Nathan, and he instantly gave up the fight for her love, sure he knew who she would choose.
âYou are the one Iâm in love with, Spinelli. And I choose to be with you,â she told him to his surprise.
As Maxie and Spinelli sealed their future with a kiss, it appears they may both get happy endings. Nathan walked into the Brown Dog and spotted Lulu (Alexa Havins), just as fate would have it. And when he tells her Maxie didnât choose him, it will leave them free to explore whatever romance awaits them. (Is GH setting up Nathan as Peter, or is a bigger twist coming for Maxie?).
