Emmerdale‘s Isabel Hodgins recently welcomed her first child with her husband Adam Whitehead. The actor, who plays Victoria Sugden on the ITV soap, gave birth to a baby girl last week, naming her Georgie Grace. But while the couple have been enjoying life as new parents, the actual birth didn’t quite go as planned.
In an Instagram post, Whitehead admitted he fainted twice while his wife was in labour. “My greatest achievement,” he wrote in the caption. “Watching my @isabelhodgins bring our GG into the world will stay with me forever. I have never been prouder.
“And yes… I fainted. Twice. Thankfully she’s the strong one.”
The post included photos of baby Georgie in the hospital with her proud parents. In multiple images, Whitehead gazed adoringly at his daughter, before another shot shows them leaving the hospital together.
Hodgins later shared the post on her Instagram Story and joked about her dramatic labour ordeal.
“I just about forgive you for fainting,” she wrote, alongside a heart emoji.
The star also expressed her appreciation for her husband in the comment section, telling him: “You’re amazing. We love you xxxx.”
The couple originally announced the news of Georgie’s birth with a sweet social media video. It began with the star in hospital, before the on screen text announced: “On the 11th of February at 1:02am… Georgie Grace Whitehead. 11.02.26. 8lbs 5oz.”

The clip then featured the sound of Georgie crying and a picture of Hodgins cradling her baby. “And then we heard you,” she captioned the post.
The comment section was filled with congratulatory messages from both fans and loved ones, including Hodgins’ Emmerdale co-stars.
