Former EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley has taken to Instagram to show off her continued success with her weight loss journey, uploading a slew of glamorous snaps taken as she attended a gala for the Safe Haven mental health project.
Lorraine was showered with praise by commenters, with @lifewiththebyes posting: ‘Looking beautiful Lorraine’, @francinelewis adding: ‘Oh wow’ and @newtion_ commenting: ‘gorgeousness’.
Former co-star, Balvinder Sopal who plays Suki Panesar-Unwin, wrote: ‘Holy moly’, while Dani Dyer, daughter of another former co-star, Danny Dyer added: ‘Stunning’.
Lorraine uploaded a before and after picture to her Instagram stories, showing off her five-stone weight loss.
‘What a difference a year makes. Five stone down, feeling good, clean living, healthy choices, new me, healthy mummy #fitat40 #healthy #moderation @louiseappelpt thank you! For your inspiration’ she wrote on the picture.
Lorraine recently spoke about her journey and spoke about the process of having a gastric sleeve fitted two years ago. She had previously used the weight-loss jab Wegovy.
‘I’d tried Wegovy. I have friends on different weight-loss jabs and they work for them. I’m not against them, but for whatever reason I feel like I got immune to them’ she told the Mirror.
‘It got to the point where I was injecting myself and eating at the same time. I was thinking, ‘What the hell are you doing?’ So I decided that was it, time to get this surgery booked.’

Lorrain sought more invasive surgery at a London clinic after becoming ‘immune’ to the injections.
‘I had a gastric sleeve. I went to Harley Street. I didn’t go to a clinic in Turkey or anything. In saying that, I’ve had friends who’ve gone to Turkey and had great experiences, but I didn’t trust that process.’
Talking to New magazine, she said: ‘I went to a London clinic, paid an awful lot of money and had it done. It’s hands-down the best thing I’ve ever done – both for me and for my family,’ later admitting that she ‘could barely look at myself’ in episodes of EastEnders.
