Coronation Street fans think they have ‘confirmed’ an upcoming death in Weatherfield, as part of the Theo Silverton and Todd Grimshaw domestic abuse plot.

Fans of the ITV soap have been growing concerned for Todd after noticing signs of controlling behaviour from his new partner. Those who follow the long-running show will know that they randomly met on the cobbles earlier this year.

Sparks quickly flew between the pair, but Todd was confused when Theo initially rejected him, before finding him again and wanting to keep their sizzling romance under wraps.

At the time, Todd was unaware that Theo had a secret wife, Danielle, and two children, but did know he was battling with his family’s religious beliefs. The truth eventually came out and since then, Theo has been struggling with his children’s reaction to his new life.

The arrival of Noah Hedley, the man who practised conversion therapy on Theo, also hasn’t helped matters, bringing his views to the Street, while also getting into a relationship with Theo’s ex-wife.

The trouble has all led to Theo having to attend mediation with his former partner, who, during an episode of the show earlier this week, was seen bringing her new partner along – and he was quick to stir the pot.

Following the session with Danielle and Noah, Theo wasn’t able to lean on Todd like he’d hoped, as the undertaker had sought comfort in the Rovers after his own stressful day.

As a result, Theo got drunk on his own, before he headed to the pub in search of his boyfriend and became increasingly incensed as he watched Todd talking to Billy Mayhew, after trying to force the former flames apart.

Theo ended up slipping out of the boozer and later, Todd returned home, drunk and with his takeaway in hand. Theo hit out at him about his diet, leaving Todd slightly bemused. Getting to the crux of what was wrong, Theo fumed to Todd that he needed him after the mediation went badly, all while he was having fun with Billy.

As Todd tried to comfort him, Theo turned violent, slapping his hand away before warning him to never touch his face again. He then got even more violent, with Theo grabbing Todd’s face, before force-feeding him some of the kebab he had brought home.

It was the first in what is set to be a violent turn in the abuse between Theo and Todd, despite it seeming like the builder is willing to make changes.

During Wednesday’s (September 3) episode of Corrie, viewers saw Theo trying to make amends with Todd, and also having a heart-to-heart with Billy.

The later came as a brooding Theo was scrolling through his phone and was incensed to see a picture of Todd and Sarah Platt in the pub, joining in Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s engagement celebrations. When Billy approached and asked him if he’s okay, Theo lost his temper and threatened him, before eventually openeing up and considering therapy.

Now, Corrie fans believe that Billy could be in danger, just over 10 years after arriving in Weatherfield, after it was confirmed earlier this year that actor Daniel Brocklebank will be bowing out of the show in 2026.
