EastEnders’ Zoe Is Struggling With Her Past

Zoe’s brother Tommy Moon had tracked her down. He promised her that she would be able to get quick cash if she returned to Albert Square. However, Zoe quickly realised Tommy had misled her. Tommy even suggested that she could steal her dad, Alfie Moon’s, credit card to get the money. When she arrived in Walford, Kat ran to greet her. But Zoe was disappointed and sad to see her mum.

Several familiar faces also met Zoe. Her great-grandmother, Mo Harris and Anthony Trueman also met her. Kat tried to explain to Zoe that she had changed over the years. However, Zoe didn’t believe, nor did she respond to her words. Zoe’s younger brothers Bert and Ernie rushed to hug her. She started bonding with her brothers when, suddenly, Tommy’s social worker arrived. It was unexpected for all.

However, Zoe suddenly got furious and sneaked off, saying she wanted to use the bathroom. She wanted to escape from the house. She also tried to raid Kat’s flat for some cash. Luckily, Mo saw her leaving and insisted she stay for dinner.

Kat later tried to confront her. She reminded Zoe about the amends they had made years ago. Kat also spoke about her traumatic past. She survived life even after her uncle Harry’s abuse. Kat revealed that she no longer blames herself.

However, Zoe couldn’t forgive herself. She says she is “a product of rape”. She reveals she wanted to have an abortion. It made things a little smoother for them. Kat comforted her with love. Yet, it was a tense situation. Zoe hinted to Kat that she had done something that could destroy the family. Kat was about to seek answers from her when they heard a gunshot ring in their direction.

Tommy Moon Struggles With The Tension At Home

Kat struggled with Tommy’s anger last year, and once he even hit her during an argument. However, Kat kept this abuse hidden. Kat worried that exposing her son would tear her family apart.

Soon, Jean Slater found the truth. She was not able to stay silent after what happened. So she decided to report Tommy to social services. Tommy was then removed from the house. He was placed in temporary foster care with Zack Hudson. During Christmas, the family thought of bringing him home.
