EastEnders star Max Murray has stunned fans by revealing an exciting career development beyond his portrayal of Joel Marshall on the BBC drama.
The 18-year-old performer joined the series this year as Joel Marshall, depicting the on-screen offspring of newcomer Ross Marshall, portrayed by Alex Walkinshaw, and stepmother Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig).
Within a brief period, the teenage troublemaker has found himself at the heart of dramatic plotlines as he spreads terror amongst Walford’s female residents. This has encompassed falling under the influence of misogynistic online material and covertly recording himself engaging in sexual activity with pupil Avani Nandra-Hart (portrayed by Aaliyah James).
He also inappropriately groped a woman on the underground in the presence of his newfound mate Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall), and initiated a harassment campaign targeting Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) by revealing her previous Secret Cam photographs.
However, performer Max’s existence beyond the Square’s turmoil couldn’t be more different from his on-screen persona. Max isn’t merely a gifted performer, but has additionally embarked upon a musical journey, reports Plymouth Live.
Max,the son of vocalist Gina Murray and grandchild of lyricist Mitch Murray, has evidently inherited their artistic genes. He used Instagram to announce the release of his latest track, ‘I Keep Fallin’ in Love.’
Posting an image beside the shoreline, Max penned in his message: “Hey everyone, hope you’re all having an amazing day! My new song I keep fallin’ in love is out now!.”
He shared: “It’s a song I’ve been holding onto for a bit, and I’m so excited for you all to finally experience it. No agenda here, just wanted to share and put a smile on as many faces as possible:).”
EastEnders’ Jessie Wallace, who plays Kat Moon, was quick to show her support, responding with a flurry of high-five emojis and a love heart. She was swiftly followed by Emma Barton, who portrays Honey Mitchell, who also showered the post with heart emojis.
Meanwhile, another fan chimed in: “Max, you are such a fantastic actor, and you should be really proud of yourself for how you play Joel. I honestly hope I get to work with you one day, can’t wait to support your music journey.
“Congrats your voice is so good”, enthused one follower, while another exclaimed: “BLOWN AWAY. What a voice you have Max beautiful song.”
