EastEnders descends into complete chaos next week, as one resident is shot by a mystery assailant while others are left fearing for their lives.
“What is meant to be a dreamy day celebrating Patrick and Yolande’s nuptials turns into a complete nightmare,” explains our insider.

“It’s a truly terrifying situation, with one resident confirmed to be in deadly peril, while the rest cower in terror, terrified the gunman will strike again…”
The gun originally belonged to drug dealer Okie, and Harry Mitchell was tasked with disposing of it. He panicked and buried the weapon, but when he went to retrieve it on Ravi Gulati’s orders, the gun was nowhere to be seen.

As the week begins, we discover that Oscar Branning has found the gun. The troublesome teen does the right thing for once, alerting Jack Branning to his shock discovery, and the copper is horrified by what he sees.
“Oscar stumbled upon the gun, but now he wants rid of it – and fast!” says our source. “He trusts his uncle Jack, so confides in him and begs him to help. Jack is less than pleased, but knows he needs to step in.
“But what they don’t realise is that Ravi has overheard their chat and now knows exactly where the missing weapon is.”

With Ravi is desperate to retrieve the pistol, he breaks into No.27 to snatch it back. While he is successful, his rescue mission doesn’t go unnoticed – as Denise Fox spots her former flame sneaking out the house.
Denise rushes to The Vic to tell Jack what she’s seen, and he immediately puts two and two together and realises that Ravi was looking for the gun. Things are pretty tense between the former love rivals as it stands, so it’s no surprise that Jack wastes no time in confronting Ravi.
What happens next remains tightly under wraps for now, but a gunshot later rings out in the Square, leaving the community completely stunned.

“It’s complete carnage in The Vic!” our insider teases. “When word gets out about the shooting, many of the wedding-goers hide out in the pub and stay close to the ground, terrified that there could be an active shooter at large.
“The danger eventually subsides, but things go from bad to worse when it is revealed just who has been seriously wounded in the chaos.”
It really is touch and go for one Square resident – but who ends up fighting for their life, and who pulled the trigger?
