Coronation Street is setting up another round in Kit Green and David Platt’s furious feud.
The battling characters appeared to reach a fragile truce earlier this year, but that all changes in tonight’s episode as David finds a way to cause big trouble for his rival.

Monday’s visit to the cobbles sees Kit choose the wrong target for his overzealous police work.
Kit gives businessman Eli a hard time for parking illegally at the Weatherfield Precinct and this delays his arrival for an important appointment.

It later transpires that Eli was due to meet Kit’s girlfriend Sarah Barlow for a crucial client meeting at Underworld, so hassling him wasn’t the wisest move.
Eli’s late arrival, and the revelation that Sarah’s boyfriend was responsible, sets the pitch off on the wrong foot.
Persistent Sarah locks Eli in the factory office until he’s heard her full presentation, but he’s highly unimpressed by her tactics and accuses her of sexual harassment. Showing his true colours, he then threatens to report her unless she gives him a 40% discount.
Later, Kit returns to his old tricks by cornering Eli in the Precinct and menacingly threatening him to drop the allegation against Sarah.

Eli seems to have been scared off, but David – clearly with nothing better to do – later collars him at the Chariot Square Hotel and encourages him to fight on.
“You don’t know me, but I know the copper who just threatened you,” David explains.
“Me and DC Green, we go way back. I know exactly how he operates. I just want to give you some advice, that’s all. See, Green has been pushing his luck as of late.

“And if someone was to, say, report him for harassment, then I’m pretty sure it would stick, if you know what I mean.
“And any sort of problems you might have with the Jolly Green Giant, then they’d just all float away…”
Will Kit find out about David’s sneaky intervention?
