EastEnders has dropped an exciting new trailer teasing all of the forthcoming Walford drama, including the return of two much-loved characters.

The rare BBC soap teaser confirms the anticipated return from Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who has been missing from the Square since earlier this year following the death of close pal Martin Fowler (James Bye).

Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) also appears in the trailer, marking her shock return to Albert Square following an appearance earlier this away year from Walford. After only a few days on-screen following a 20-year absence,

will know, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) went off to try to find her, but unfortunately failed. It looks like she’ll be making her return to Albert Square soon.

In the trailer, Kat can be seen applying her signature red lipstick in the mirror, as her daughter Zoe can be seen getting out of a black cab.

Halfway through, a small clip of Sharon standing under an umbrella with Patrick (Rudolph Walker) appears, as well as another with Freddie and Stacey standing laughing together.

There is also a blink and you’ll miss it moment when a dog barks aggressively, leaving fans wondering who the pooch is, and who does he belong to?

Taking to social media, one viewer asked: “Who’s dog is that? I thought Wellard was long gone?”.

A second suggested: “Probably won’t see the dog again, you know what EastEnders is like with their pets lol.”

A third chimed in: “It thought it was a dog too , you can see its leash. I think it’s symbolism.. Kat is all smiley, sun is shining and she’s surrounded by people laughing.

“Zoe is walking in the rain, surrounded by glum faces and the dog cameo. I think it shows how Kat’s life is happy and she’s surrounded by family, whereas Zoe feels as if she was ‘thrown out to the wolves/foxes/dogs’ walking her life with a dark cloud over her whilst being all alone.”

While another asked: “What’s that dog all about?”.
