Ravi, portrayed by Aaron Thiara, and Priya, played by Sophie Levy Khan, were an item in their younger years, and had children Davinder (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) and Avani (Aaliyah James) together. But they’ve never been a couple on-screen.
Priya made her entrance into Walford back in 2023, throwing Ravi’s life into chaos as she revealed he is the father of 16-year-old Avani. Since then, there has been no shortage of drama, but Priya and Ravi have managed to resolve their differences and are now living together with their children in Walford.
There have been numerous near misses when it comes to a potential romance rekindling between the former lovers. In upcoming episodes, viewers will witness the sparks flying between the pair once more.
Spoilers indicate that the duo find themselves caught up in a passionate moment following a challenging discussion about parenting their daughter Avani. Priya confronts Ravi about his failure to support their daughter, leading him to assure her that he will find a legitimate way to provide for his family, reports the Daily Star.
This results in the pair deciding to give their relationship another shot. However, in true Albert Square fashion, things don’t go smoothly.
Despite his promise to Priya, Ravi continues the drug-dealing activities he and Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) have been engaged in over recent months.
Things are set to take a sinister turn as Kojo (Dayo Koleosho) unwittingly becomes embroiled in the criminal plot, after Ravi shifts his drug operation to his flat, despite Harry’s objections.
Kojo returns from his birthday festivities to find Okie – one of the drug dealers – and his mates inside his flat. Okie, who has recently become friends with Kojo, gives him a pill to soothe him.
Later, George (Colin Salmon) discovers Kojo in a distressed state in the Square and takes him to Phil’s for assistance. George is convinced Harry is responsible for Kojo’s predicament.
As Jack (Scott Maslen) steps up and attempts to help, he finds himself with no other option but to arrest Kojo after finding out he’s taken drugs.
All this drama leaves Priya and Ravi’s budding romance on shaky ground, as it seems likely that Ravi’s drug-dealing operation could soon be exposed. Could their relationship be doomed before it even begins?
