Emmerdale fans reckon they’ve sussed out who will come to Vinny Dingle’s rescue from the villainous Mike, and it’s a returning legend.
Audiences are aware that Vinny (Bradley Johnson) has been grappling with his sexuality of late, after developing feelings for Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah).
After attempting to kiss Kammy, Vinny has since tried to suppress his emotions. Torn about what to do next, especially with his wedding to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) looming, Vinny sought solace online.
While on an internet forum, Vinny began conversing with a man named Mike (Macaulay Cooper), who claimed to be experiencing a similar predicament regarding his sexuality.
With Gabby away at a spa, Vinny invited Mike over to discuss their situations. However, the situation took a shocking twist when Mike confessed that everything he’d told Vinny was fabricated, including his own name.
Mike then threatened to ruin Vinny’s life and violently assaulted him before demanding £10,000 or he would spill all their secrets.
However, fans now believe a former Dales resident is set to return to confront Mike and save Vinny. Online speculation suggests Tina Dingle’s (Samantha Power) comeback.
Tina, a notorious troublemaker, first appeared on the soap back in 1994 – she is the daughter of soap legend Zak (Steve Halliwell).
She bid farewell to the Dales in 1996, but made a surprising return last year for Zak’s funeral. In an unexpected turn of events, it was disclosed that Tina is actually Vinny’s biological mother.
Speculating about Tina’s comeback on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one individual posted: “Tina Dingle should come back and sort that Mike out! Poor Vinny.”
Another person chimed in: “It could be her redemption storyline”. A third added: “Yeah they might bring her back and turn her nice again.”
