Coronation Street‘s Theo Silverton has grown irritated with Summer Spellman as he continues being controlling with boyfriend Todd Grimshaw.

After previously warning off James Bailey not to get too close to Todd, Theo’s concerning behaviour saw him attempt to distance his boyfriend and Billy Mayhew.

In new scenes, Theo was left reeling with his next target Summer when she showed up at Todd’s unannounced.

Summer, who considers Todd a father figure in her life, told Theo she had a spare key and wanted to do her Uni reading at theirs, ruining the couple’s impromptu romantic plans for their day off.

Later on, Todd gave Summer a pep talk, insisting she should go to Bernie Winter and Dev Alahan’s wedding even though she didn’t feel like making small talk with her ex-friend Nina Lucas.

In the kitchen, Theo was growing frustrated, pestering Todd to hurry to go to lunch as he was starving.

“I’m fine. Just go,” Summer insisted.

At lunch, Theo offered to treat his boyfriend to a sushi dinner later that night but he said he should be with Summer.

“I think I should spend more time with Summer. She’s not in a great place,” Todd said, before going back to work.

“Some date,” Theo said sarcastically.

“I promise I’ll make it up to you,” Todd replied, kissing Theo goodbye and rushing back to the office.

Back at home, Theo could barely contain his anger at Summer as she was comfortably snugged on Todd’s sofa.

Trying to be friendly, she asked Theo if he had any plans for the evening. When he said he didn’t as “[his] other half was otherwise engaged”, Summer invited him to join her and Todd for pizza and telly.

Theo said he wasn’t a fan of takeaway pizza and, when Todd came back with the pies and a bottle of wine, made a swift exit.

“No, I think I’ll go to the pub,” he announced.

Will Theo come to his senses or will he be driving a wedge between Todd and Summer?
