He predicted the moment would “go viral” as he recounted his time on Corrie
Colson Smith, the former Coronation Street star, admitted that he “completely disgraced” himself during a recent TV appearance.
Following his time playing Craig Tinker on the ITV soap, Colson has made a few cameo appearances on TV to recall his time on the Cobbles.
He recently joined hosts Ben Price and Jack P Shepherd on their podcast, On The Sofa, discussing his recent time on Weakest Link.
Colson said: “There was one question where I completely disgraced myself.”
During the moment, Romesh Ranganathan, the host of Weakest Link, set him up with the clue as the actor.
He asked: “On your screen now, Colson, is a tennis player who is named after a planet. What is her name?”
The answer was Venus WIlliams, something Colson has now admitted was “obvious”.

However, in the moment he said Jupiter Williams, a mistake he anticipates will “go viral” when it airs on the BBC.
Following his departure from the ITV soap earlier this year, Colson recalled his time on the Cobbles with great fondness.
He said: “I’ve loved every single second of my 14 year stay as a resident on the greatest street in the world.”
“I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in, on and around Coronation Street.
“I’ve learnt pretty much everything about life from the people who call it home.”
