EastEnders viewers were left feeling “uncomfortable” during Tuesdays’s visit to Walford as Suki Panesar continued her attempts to persuade her granddaughter, Avani Nandra-Hart, against having an abortion.

Avani was depicted in the clinic, prepared for a termination, with Suki at her side. However, throughout the lengthy waiting period, her grandmother persistently voiced her concerns, attempting to sway Avani’s decision.

Suki even suggested she would cover all costs associated with carrying the baby to term. Throughout the week, Suki has been assuring Avani that she and her partner Eve would raise the child, despite Eve’s firm stance against having children, reports the Mirror.

This point was raised by Avani in the clinic, only for Suki to reassure her that Eve would eventually come around.

Ultimately, Suki promised Avani she would cease pressuring her, but when the nurse arrived to inform Avani they were ready for her, the pregnant teenager, who is expecting Joel’s baby, had a change of heart.

Suki appeared relieved, but currently, she is the sole person aware of the pregnancy.

Parents Priya and Ravi remain oblivious, but viewers are convinced that Suki will face repercussions once they discover what she has been telling their daughter.

Moreover, a few weeks ago, Ravi was seen seething upon discovering that Suki allowed Bernie to abscond with their money – could this be the final straw for him?

At present, he appears preoccupied with drug dealing alongside Harry and Okie, but fans are certain he will abandon everything once he learns about his daughter’s situation.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan wrote: “Priya is going to make mincemeat out of Suki when this all comes out,” as another penned: “There’s a lot of other things Suki hasn’t considered: Ravi and Priya, Joel and his family, Avani changes her mind last minute. When it comes out about the pregnancy, no doubt the social worker would get involved.”

Meanwhile, viewers have been left feeling “revolted” by Suki’s “controlling behaviour” towards her granddaughter.

Following the broadcast, irate supporters flocked to X, previously Twitter, to voice their outrage.

One viewer commented: “Suki manipulating Avani into keeping her baby is so gross. She’s never been a nice person but this is just disgusting.

“I feel what Suki is doing to Avani is worse then when she faked having cancer and feel she may not be redeemed ( and I’m speaking as a #Sukeve fan) Really worrying behaviour from her recently towards Avani,” wrote a second.

A third penned: “Today’s #eastenders was actually quite uncomfortable to watch – Suki’s constant harassment of Avani, wanting to control her and wanting to make decisions about her body are so disgusting.”
