In her devastation, Abi runs straight to Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard), and soon months of tension come to a dramatic climax as they share a passionate kiss.

However, the next day, Carl tells her that it is best if they keep their distance.

Just down the cobbles, things get much more complicated for Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) and Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) when they discover that Danielle Silverton’s (Natalie Anderson) new man is Noah.

Soon, tensions rise when the family gather at the Bistro, and Miles lashes out at Todd, only to be struck by Theo when he tries to intervene.

Meanwhile, wedding planning is at the forefront of Dev Alahan’s (Jimmi Harkishin) mind, but Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) and Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) are left feeling uneasy when he reveals that Aunty Rani will want to know that her money is being put to good use.

Spirits are high in the Rovers when Dev asks Aadi to be his best man, but the mood soon changes when Aunty Rani arrives earlier than expected.
