Christine Brown has learned some lessons in love following her split from Kody Brown.
The 53-year-old Sister Wives star, who married David Woolley in October 2023 two years after her split from Brown, reflected on her experience finding her true match later in life in an Instagram post on July 18.
“I didn’t get the chance to post all our pictures from our last trip and it reminded me that although the views were incredibly beautiful, the part that meant the most was how peaceful it felt,” she wrote alongside a slideshow of her and Woolley’s travels in Germany. “How light it was. How easy it was to just be myself.”
“Love isn’t supposed to be confusing. It’s not supposed to feel heavy or leave you guessing. It’s not supposed to hurt,” she added.

The reality star concluded her message on a hopeful note.
She told her followers, “You deserve love that feels kind, safe, and steady. And it’s never too late to believe that kind of love is possible.”

The TLC star and Woolley went public with their romance in February 2023, and got engaged two months later before tying the knot that October.

One year later, Christine opened up on an episode of Sister Wives about having an immediate connection with Woolley. 
“We sat down off to the side and he just pulled my chair next to him and he just pulled me into him and we just cuddled,” she recalled. “And I thought everything was crazy all around us, and I’m like, so everything’s going to be crazy all around us, but right here we’re going to be calm.”
“I legit felt calm for the first time in my life,” she added. “And I put my hand on his heart and it was racing so fast and my heart was racing so fast, but it was like a breath. And I just realized I loved him then, and I would do this for the rest of my life.”
She also shared with PEOPLE in September 2023 that her husband “has more integrity than anybody I know. He built his business while he was being a single dad, so it’s everything to him.”
“His word is his bond, and it means everything to him…. If he says he’s going to do it, he’s going to do it,” she added. “He’s a phenomenal person, to the core. He’s just outstanding. Yeah, I just feel like I won a gold mine, major. I won the lottery with him.”
Her connection with Woolley came after she became the first of Kody’s four wives to leave him in November 2021, triggering a domino effect that resulted in the end of his relationships with Janelle and Meri within 14 months.

While joined by now-husband Woolley for Sister Wives: One on One special in December 2023, she explained she couldn’t be herself with Kody since he “only wanted me to be positive” and he “only wanted me to be fun.”
She also claimed that Kody “only liked the fun little bubbly part of me” and she’s “not going to stuff it anymore,” especially now that she has found happiness with David.
