There’s an update from EastEnders’ Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) this week that puts his wife Kat Moon’s (Jessie Wallace) dream of buying The Vic under serious threat.
Alfie has been away from the Square in recent weeks, and unbeknown to Kat, he is in Spain trying to track down her estranged daughter Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan).
Meanwhile, last week’s episodes saw Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) suggest to Kat that they should buy The Vic using a surprise life insurance payout Stacey received following Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) death.
Plans are set in motion to make that suggestion a reality on Monday, as current owners Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) get ready to hold an auction on the boozer.

As the Slaters excitedly discuss the prospect of Kat becoming the new landlady, her happiness is short-lived when Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) and Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) voice concerns that buying the pub may not be the best way of spending Martin’s money.
However, there is an ulterior motive behind Ian’s words, as he is also planning on bidding for the Vic and is keen to see off the competition.
But a call from Alfie could end up changing everything anyway, as Stacey is forced to make an agonising decision about the money.
Reeling from Alfie’s mysterious update, Stacey drops the bombshell on Kat that she can no longer lend her the money, leaving her devastated.
Is Zoe the reason behind Stacey’s sudden change of heart, or has something else prompted it?
Stacey’s mum Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) certainly seems to think there’s more to it, becoming convinced that Alfie is secretly helping out Hayley Slater (Katie Jarvis), who he shares daughter Cherry with…
As the clock ticks down to the auction, Kat’s dreams lie in tatters – will she find another way to secure The Vic, or is the iconic pub about to become the crown of Ian’s local business empire?
