EastEnders’ Oscar Branning finally discovers that little Annie Carter is his half-sister next week – before declaring that his dad Max needs to know the truth.

As Linda prepares to move out of The Vic, she decides her fresh start should also include being honest with the Brannings about young Annie’s paternity. But as Oscar threatens to spill the beans to his dad, what will Linda do?

“Linda could live to regret dropping this particular bombshell on Oscar,” says our Walford insider.

“Lauren has known for a while that Annie is her sister and has agreed that it’s best to keep Max in the dark for now. But you may not be able to trust Oscar with dark secrets…”

Oscar’s barely been back in Walford for five minutes, but he’s already causing huge drama.

As he wakes up next week following a one-night stand with a stranger, Oscar gets a stern talking to from his uncle Jack, who begs him not to make more trouble for Lauren and Peter.

It appears Jack’s warning has sunk in as Oscar offers to babysit for his sister while she and Peter head off for some much-needed time without the kids.

But the situation soon takes a sinister turn when Oscar gets a visit from Mike, the man who has been sending him terrifying texts since his arrival in the Square.

“Oscar is involved with some very shady people,” explains our source. “Thankfully, Lauren and Peter arrive home before any serious trouble kicks off, and Mike soon scarpers.

“However, the thug leaves behind a very menacing threat for Oscar to find, leaving him in no doubt that Mike isn’t to be messed with.”

As Oscar tries to reassure Lauren and Peter that he won’t bring any more danger to their door, is there still a target on his back?

Meanwhile, Linda asks Lauren to speak to Oscar and try to convince him not to tell Max the truth.

Lauren agrees to have a word, but whether she can persuade her brother to keep his mouth shut remains to be seen.

With Max officially on his way back to Walford, could Linda be about to face a bitter custody battle for her daughter?
