Sister Wives star Kody Brown once lived happily with his four wives. However, all through the years, we have seen that the Brown family has always struggled with financial issues. And just like in his typical style, Kody shifted the blame onto someone. In the recent scenario, Kody openly came forward and blamed one of his wives for the Brown family’s finances. Kody had 18 kids, and it was clear that he would face financial issues. However, instead of taking accountability, Kody found it easier to shift the blame to someone else.
The family moved to Arizona in 2018, and the move turned out to be significantly expensive. It included an $820,000 purchase of the Coyote Pass land. Recently, Janelle, Meri, Kody, and Robyn divided it into four equal parts. The family ran multiple failed businesses, paid heavy medical expenses, and juggled high mortgage payments that kept compounding over their heads. Now, Kody placed the entire blame on his second wife, who allegedly handled the finances of the family.

Sister Wives: Janelle Reveals She Never Was In Charge Of The Family’s Finances!
In the recent Tell-All, Janelle revealed that she never looked after the finances of the Brown family. Kody was the one who had complete control, but he liked to shift the blame onto her. She also added that Kody knew exactly where to hit his wives so it would hurt them the most. So naturally, he told everyone that she was the financial head of the family, which was never true.
Janelle also clarified that even with Christine, Kody did the same. He told her that he was not physically attracted to her and knew very well that it would break her. He always lied and twisted things to his advantage to hurt others. Moreover, even Christine agreed with Janelle and seconded her statements, stating that Kody purposely lied to hurt his ex-wives.
Sister Wives: Kody Holds Janelle Responsible For All Financial Issues!
Kody and the entire Brown family were not doing financially well before the show started. His daughter Maddie revealed that Kody used to earn well, but at that time, there were 15 kids, and the money never felt sufficient. Growing up, her family always faced financial difficulties, but after the show, things changed for the better.
Even after the show began, we saw how Kody and his family struggled with money, with the patriarch openly admitting that he didn’t have enough funds. This was the main reason why he didn’t want to pay child support after his divorce from Christine. However, surprisingly, he always managed to pay for his and his wife Robyn’s luxury spending. They spent millions on their car, home, and doll collection.
In the recent scenario, Kody blamed the family’s financial troubles on Janelle. Kody and Janelle separated in 2022 after 29 years of marriage. Kody revealed that Janelle was responsible for whatever financial issues the family had because she handled the family bookkeeping. However, Janelle clarified that she only did the accounting and didn’t act as a provider.
Kody and his family’s financial situation has now improved significantly. They sold the Coyote Pass property in a high-profit exchange and divided the money equally into four parts. However, Kody didn’t feel happy about sharing the profit with his ex-wives.
