Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) has revealed to fiancé Peter Beale (Thomas Law) that she hasn’t been exactly faithful to their relationship.
As viewers will recall, last month, Lauren hit self-destruct mode in the wake of an argument with Peter.
He was struggling to bond with their newborn son Jimmy following his visual impairment diagnosis, and his family had clocked on.
Mum Cindy (Michelle Collins) and grandmother Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) put their issues to one side to stage an intervention, but the matter soon turned explosive.
During their conversation, Lauren became emotional and rushed out.
She stormed into The Vic and demanded a vodka from Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), who refused to let her relapse. She then did similar at Harry’s Barn, before being spotted by Zack Hudson (James Farrar).
He whisked her back to his flat to calm down, and the pair kissed.

They’ve been keeping it under their hats ever since, and when Lauren reunited with Peter following their fall-out, she worried that the secret would ruin everything.
Well, as it turns out, it was actually Cindy that was threatening to disturb the status quo, having spotted Lauren enjoying a cosy conversation with Zack.
In tonight’s episode, having seen Zack put his arm around Lauren, Cindy couldn’t contain her anger any longer.
She rushed to tell ex-husband Ian (Adam Woodyatt) that it was blatantly obvious Lauren was cheating, and she intended to do something about it.
Out in The Square, Peter was in for two big surprises.
The first of these was a picnic organised by Lauren, which she hoped would be a good way of putting their recent animosity to one side.
The couple were enjoying their day when Cindy marched over and demanded she fess up.
Lauren agreed that it was time to come clean, and a horrified Peter’s jaw dropped to the floor as she confirmed that something had happened with Zack.
