Coronation Street‘s Mick Michaelis escapes from jail next week with a risky plan to go on the run with his family – but not before he gets revenge on Kit Green.
The dangerous cop killer carefully plots his escape from behind bars, with Brody secretly helping him on the outside. But Mick’s prison break ends in a terrifying siege, and a violent showdown leaves Kit fighting for his life.
Brody holds both Mick and Kit’s fates in his hands, but where do his loyalties really lie – with the man who raised him, or his biological dad?
“Brody is desperate to keep his family together,” says Ryan Mulvey, who plays the teen.
“He feels it’s his duty as a brother, and as a man. Brody has morals and knows what Mick has planned is wrong, but he’ll do what it takes to keep his loved ones close…”

The drama kicks off as Mick decides that it’s time to get his family back and teach Kit a lesson for betraying him.
He ropes Brody into rounding up Joanie and Shanice so they can flee Weatherfield together.
“Brody idolises Mick and doesn’t want to disappoint him,” notes Ryan. “He can’t comprehend he might not be his biological dad. It feels like Brody’s life has been shattered and he’s not dealing with it very well.
“Helping Mick get away could get Brody back in the STC, but his behaviour is more impulsive since this bombshell about Kit was dropped on him.”

With Mick poised to spring from his cell and do a runner with his brood, Brody calls at the Metcalfes’ to collect his sisters, only to be told Tim has taken Joanie to a taster day at Weatherfield High where she’s hoping to enrol.
Panicking that this jeopardises their plan, Brody frantically calls Mick on his burner phone to warn him – but Mick won’t be beaten and escalates his efforts to escape from prison, and he’s soon on the loose…
Over at Weatherfield High, Daniel Osbourne is being interviewed for a job while poor Joanie is teased by the other pupils about her dodgy parents’ antics.
The teachers call Sally to take the traumatised girl home, but a short while later Daniel and headteacher Mrs Crawshaw are horrified when a surprise visitor arrives at the school – it’s Mick.

All hell breaks loose as Mick storms into the school demanding to see his daughter, terrifying staff and students. Quivering Mrs Crawshaw tells the crazed criminal Joanie is not on the premises, having been picked up earlier by Sally.
This makes Mick even more mad, and when brave Daniel tries to calm things down, he and the head get locked in the office.
Fuming Mick then heads to the street to grab his girls, closely followed by Kit who has been alerted to the scary situation…
When Mick makes it to the cobbles and descends on Underworld, a dramatic confrontation ensues with Kit, ending with DC Green being seriously injured.

With Kit wheeled in for life-saving surgery, Sarah and Bernie pray he’ll pull through, while conflicted Brody processes potentially losing the dad he thought he had, and the one he’s only just discovered.
“It’s very overwhelming for Brody, and becomes a huge battle in his head between Mick and Kit,” says Ryan. “I don’t think Brody really knows who he wants to win.”
In the aftermath of the attack, Mick and Brody mysteriously vanish. Have they got away with Joanie and Shanice? And will Kit survive his brush with death?
